Apel.les Fenosa, 1899-1988, was a sculptor born in Barcelona. He lived
much of the time in Paris. His sculptures are at La Defense in Pris and
UNESCO. He had one man shows in Paris (Rodin Museum, 1980), Madrid at
the National Library, and Barcelona. I am particularly interested in
the value of bronze table-top female figures.

Hello chromie,

Fenosa’s figures Laura (1965) and Phénicienne (1968), both about 9
inches high, have each been valued at 150,000 pesetas in the listing
of a travelling exhibition produced by the city council of Tarragona
http://www.altanet.org/ciutada/itinerants/dones.htm

Although the peseta is no longer legal tender, there is still an
exchange rate provided for it at http:/www.xe.com
150,000 pesetas is equivalent to US$ 1,041.95

His “Bust of a young girl” (1927), about 14 inches high, sold for
5,500 euros in October 2002, which is equivalent to US$ 6,357.46
according to xe.com
