Hi again stephenh-ga,
I will try my best to accomodate that fact that you need to use public
transportation.
Using the TranStar trip planner (which combines bus, rail, Amtrak),
you can map out your trip fairly easily.
http://ts.scag.ca.gov/transit2/
The one snag with this is that the system only lets you check 45 days
in advance (as it is restricted by the information made available by
the transportation services).
I did manage to map your route for next Sunday - the departure has a
match, and there are two "close matches" for your arrival location. I
selected the closest one and obtained the following result:
"Here is the trip you requested...
Depart... 1331 East Katella Ave in Anaheim
Then...
Go to: Anaheim Station, 2150 East Katella
Board: Amtrak Pacific Surf Line/Union Station at 12:29 pm (next 1:53
pm)
Fare: Pay $8.00, Get Amtrak Ticket-C.O.F.C.
Get Off: Union Station at 1:15 pm
Then...
Go to: Union Station-Red, 800 N Alameda St
Board: Mta Red Line/North Hollywood at 1:22 pm (next train at 1:34 pm)
Fare: Pay $1.60, Get M.T.A. Transfer
Get Off: Vermont Beverly Station at 1:34 pm
Then...
Go to: N.W. Corner Of Beverly & Vermont
Board: Mta Bus #014/Beverly Hills at 1:42 pm (next bus at 1:55 pm)
Fare: Show Transfer To Driver
Get Off: Beverly & Genesee at 2:00 pm
Arrive... Beverly Bl:n Ogden Dr in Los Angeles
Total Fare: $9.60"
Since this is a dynamic page I can't provide a link but if you provide
the addresses like I did you should obtain a similar result for the
day that you are planning your trip.
It appears that the trip takes approximately 2 hours using this
itinerary (I set the depart time to 12 Noon as you hadn't specified
it.
Hopefully this answers your query in a more relevant manner :)
Cheers,
