Question ID: 202835
I am looking for a sculpture of a Unicorn to be used at a wedding. It
will be next to a wooden sculpture of a dragon, that was carved from
wood from a "raintree", that stands at 24 inches high. So preferably
it would be a wooden sculpture, however I would consider other mediums
(ceramic, metal). Ideally it would be the whole unicorn and not just
the head. My budget is around $300.00 but would consider more for the
right piece.

Do you have any preferred pose for the unicorn?

You might also want to see if what you need has been mentioned in the comments.

I do not have any special pose in mind but standing or on it's rear
legs seems the best.

Hi dragonunicorn,

When is the wedding?
Do you have a picture of the unicorn you'd like?

I am a personal friend of Internationally known metal artist Michael
Shone, he could create whatever you want. His pieces, although mostly
metal, look virtually lifelike. Here's his personal website:

http://www.pacificshadowsites.com

You can email him. Although the cell phone is working, his wife has
it, she's in California and he's commisioned in Seattle. Tell him I
sent you.

If you decide to use him, let me know and I'll post in the answer
box...

I'd like to add that although his site doesn't show a unicorn, he is
extremely capable and there is absolutely NO doubt he can create a
beautiful piece for you.

Let me direct you to this page that has some animals:
http://www.pacificshadowsites.com/sculpturestudio.html

I have his portfolio at the moment, he has asked me to scan more
pictures for his web site. He has been doing this for over 40 years
and hads done thousands of pieces.

Thanks for all of your research. I am still looking for a sculpture
two feet tall. I see that you are also having as difficult a time
finding this as I was. I have sent an email to Michael asking him if
he could do a sculpture of a unicorn ready to ship by the 5th of July

I mentioned to Michael the project you have in mind, he said to tell
you he's away from his computer this week and not able to check email
(and it may be overflowing), but I know for a fact he can produce the
item you need by July 5th. He asked me to provide you with his current
contact phone.

He's doing a project in Seattle and is working out of Howard's
Automotive:

Ask for him here:
