Does anyone know of an organization of "retired" or "philanthropic"
Illinois lawyers willing to do pro bono work in Illinois? Due to the
nature of the case, I am seeking a conservative group. Please do not
suggest the ACLU or the American Bar Association. |

Hello Travellady-ga,
I located a list of twenty Pro Bono Legal Aid Providers in the Chicago
area, one in Rockford and three Downstate. In addition there is a list
of eleven Pro Bono Legal Services in Illinois Universities. This is a
list of referrals from the Office of the Illinois Attorney General.
Each referral includes name, address, phone number, email, web address
and service areas.
Would this be a satisfactory answer to your question?
Thanks

I have contacted major think tanks and they have not been helpful.
The usual pro bono groups want a criminal case or serve the down
trodden on smaller maters with particular topics. My case could be a
landmark case on reverse employment discrimination and will require
some time on the lawyer's part. It is a large case and comples.
Unfortnately, I do not have the funds to pay by the hour and need
someone or will work the case on principle.

The usual pro bono groups want a criminal case or they serve the down
trodden on smaller matters with particular topics like housing
discrimination, divorce, bankruptcy, etc. My case could be a
landmark case on reverse employment discrimination against the federal
government and will require some time on the lawyer's part. It is a
large complex case. Most private practice lawyers say it is not worth
their time for the fees they could recoup. Unfortnately, I do not
have the funds to pay by the hour and need someone who will work the
case on principle.
