Good Day bboat-ga,
I am not sure I understand the problem, but I think I do. If I do,
please read to find your answer. If not, at the end of the text I
have requested some additional information from you. Should this
answer your question, please let me know and I will post it as an
official answer, with some extra information. If not, please provide
me with answers to the questions I pose below, and I will be sure to
assist you in figuring out the solution to your problem.
Your domain name was registered by DomainBank.com. The DNS table
points to a primary of NS2.GOEMERCHANT-DNS.COM (hosted by
www.goemerchant.com) and a secondary of CYSHOP.CYSHOPSTORES2.COM (when
I went to www.cyshopstores.com, I was forwarded to
www.goemerchant.com).
Each Internet provider maintains their own DNS table. The main
function of the DNS table is determine where in the world is the page
requested by entering a domain name (for example google.com is at
216.239.57.99). The registrar of a domain name sets a default that
points to their own server. Since you decided to use a different
company for web hosting than you used for registering your domain
name, the DNS table had to be updated. This can be accomplished by
logging in into (in your case) DomainBank.com, and changing the
destination server to that of your web hosting company. Once the
change is made there, the change will be broadcasted to the rest of
the world, so other Internet providers can make the correct updates on
their end. What does that mean to you?
Chances your Internet Provider has not updated their DNS table yet.
When I do a Google Search for www.newportforkidsandfamilies.com, it
comes up in the search, and when I click on the link I am taken to
your web site. No "site not found errors". Depending on the Internet
Provider, this might take from several hours, to a few days. If this
is the case, and your neighbour is using a different Internet
provider, they might very well be able to access your web site, while
you can not, because your Internet Provider is slower on updating the
tables.
I hope I have understood your problem correctly, and that this sheds
some light. Please let me know if this answers your question, or if I
missed the boat on this one (in which case, please post a
clarification, maybe even a step by step walk through where I could
try recreating your problem). Any additional information on server
name, hosting providers, when this started happening, etc will be of
great value.
If I have understood the problem, all you have to do is wait a little
until your Internet Provider updates their DNS table. The only way to
know if this is the case, is if doing a Google Search for
"www.newportforkidsandfamilies.com" and clicking on the only link that
comes up as a hit results in you seeing the "page not found" error.
As I mentioned, it worked fine on my side, so it sounds like my
Internet Provider updated their DNS tables before yours did.
