Hello.

There aren't a lot of home school groups in Washington DC
specifically, but there are many in Virginia and Maryland.

You might want to get in touch with Bolling Area Home Educators
(BAHE). "BAHE is the largest homeschooling support group in
Washington DC, located right in the backyard of our Nation's Capital
on beautiful Bolling Air Force Base."
http://bahedc.org/

There's also a group called "Jewish Home Schoolers of Washington DC
and Maryland" listed on:
Resources for Unschooling:

For more DC homeschooling resources, see: "Washington D.C.

the Tunnel" offers comprehensive lists of homeschooling organizations
in the VA/MD/DC area:

I would recomend the Home School Legal Defense Association website
(www.hslda.org) as a good resource for homeschool parents. Not a lot
of information about conventions and meetings, but it is an invaluable
resource for information concerning legislation that affects
homeschool families.

Oops!

After posting my comment, I see that juggler-ga already included a
link to HSLDA. Should have known that an excellent researcher like
juggler would have included that in the list. :-)
