Howdy tamush!

I have heard back from Blind Lemming Chiffon (or BLC) himself
and here is how you can get any of the 6 CDs he has produced.

"All 6 of my sampler demo CDs available for $5.00 in person, or
directly by mail for $1.00 total additional postage for 1-6 CDs.

These are rough studio mixes, not the final versions, but I've
had no complaints about the sound quality. They have played on
every CD player I've tried, but may not play on some older players
or DVD players that won't play CDRs. Packaging is totally generic
to save money.

CLIFF NOTES DEMO #1:
Blind Lemming Blues, Coca-Cola Blues, Nobody Knows You When You're
Down and Out, When the Ice-Worms Nest Again, Traveling Man, Keys
to the Highway, Stop That Dancing Up There, Walk Right In
Session #1 - recorded with 1931 Martin O31 guitar.

CLIFF NOTES DEMO #2:
Police Got My Dad, I Eat Up Animals, Did You Know John Hurt?, Rag
Mama Rag, Would You Like Fries With That?, Fries, Apo's Trophy,
Snuff the Smokers, Safeway Bakery Blues
Session #2 - recorded with cedar-top 6-string cutaway guitar.

CLIFF NOTES DEMO #3:
Charles, Life Is a Beautiful Thing, Still Gonna Die, Dead People,
Jivin' Man, Kill It Kid, Hot Tamales, 32-20, Mr. Peabody's Lament
(A Dog and His Boy)
Session #3 - recorded with Guild jumbo 12-string guitar.

CLIFF NOTES DEMO #4:
Meet Me In St. Louis, Louis, Cocaine Bill and Morphine Sue, Cocaine
Lil, Lulu's Back In Town, Hesitation Blues, Gimme a Pigfoot, 12 St.
Medley, Alabamy Bound, Simon Smith and the Amazing Dancing Bear,
Rare Roast Beast, Porcupine Burrito
Session #4 - recorded with cedar-top 6-string cutaway guitar and
Martin T-28 Tiple (which is like a big ukulele with 10 strings in
four courses, two doubled and two tripled.)

THE NEW THRILL PARADE: SONGS OF PEACE AND ATHEISM:
Crucifixion, I Set My Own Mind Free, Over the Easy Side of Life,
Penny With Interest, Acts of Religion , Draft Dodger Rag,
S-A-V-E-D/Plastic Jesus, 2001 Massacre
Also session #4, but with no tiple.

CLIFF NOTES DEMO #5:
The Hobbit I Left Behind Me, Elven Maid, Billy Boy, I Am the Walrus,
When Johnny Strikes Up the Band, Red Rubber Ball, Puff the Magic
Vampire, Shaggy Dog, It's a Gift/H-A-R-R-I-G-A-N-U-C, Wildwood Flower,
Apo's Trophy, Freezers and Ice, The Little Bagel Man
Recorded on 6-string banjo-guitar, with the 4 low strings tuned an
octave high."

Howdy tamush!

I checked with Twist and Shout in Denver and they didn't have
anything, which is a bad sign, as they have lots of the local
to Denver music. I am checking another source, but have to wait
until business hours to get hold of them.

Search Strategy:

My office used to be 4 blocks from Twist and Shout :-)

Is this an American group? Send an e-mail (info@swallowhill.com) to
the folk music organization SWALLOW HILL to ask how to get in touch
with the group, since Blind Lemming Chiffon has done concerts for this
organization. You need to find out for sure whether or not they have
ever made a CD, since this seems to be a somewhat obscure group. You
can also search various websites of used CD stores, and there are
many, and you just might get lucky.

SINCERELY,
4keith
