Does millstone desolve in water?

What do you mean by "millstone"?  The most common use of the word
"millstone" is a stone used for grinding grain.  There is a rock that
has been called "millstone girt", but I'm not certain that this is
what you want.  And I'm fairly sure you're not interested in Millstone
brand coffee!  Perhaps another Researcher will know immediately what
you're looking for, but in the meantime, could you clarify what
"millstone" is?

The stone used for griding grain does disolve a few parts per billion
in water, but this is negligible for most purposes, so generally we
would say millstone is insoluable in water, some kinds of millstone
are soluable only in parts per trillion.   Neil
