I would like to ask, do you recall the facility where the conference
was held? I wonder if it's an airport hotel, since I found a
conference mentioned that is about mental disabilties, and it is in
Burlingame. A clue to the building you went to will help, since
sometimes that is mentioned in the archive.

Thanks for the clue. What I found though was a a conference held in
April 2001 that was about visually impaired students, basically an
educators' conference, held in the Marriott Hotel. I'll have to look
some more for something closer to what you recall.

As I recall the conference had to do with the differential diagnosis
of High Level Autism verses Asperegers. I just don't think that is
the correct title. I also remembered that a speaker at the conference
was from the Autism research Institute in San Diego. I don't remember
his name. I hope this helps.

I saw at ARI's own website that they do regular Defeat Autism Now!
(DAN) conferences. Does that ring a bell?

I believe I have exhausted all the Internet Resources I could find
mentioning autism/asperger's conferences... and there's still nothing
close to what you are looking for. I'm not sure if I can help you more
in this... maybe another researcher will have better luck. My
apologies for this. Thanks.

Thanks for your help. Does that mean another researcher will try the
question until it expires?

Yes, that would be true if another researcher is interested. We
researchers are independent contractors for Google Answers. Just hold
on. If I do stumble onto something on the way, I may come back. ;)

I have since found the answer. The title was The Continium of
Aspergers/Autism learning. It was in Dec. 2000. Thank you for your
help. I ended up calling my professional organization.
