I do not want the image search history to appear when I enter the first and
subsequent letters in the search bar. How do I clear the previous entries?

Clarification of Question by hamilton-ga on 15 May 2003 12:54 PDT
When I make search entries in the search window, all previous entries
are listed when the first one, two or three characters are entered. I
do not
want other users of GOOGLE that are using my computer to know where
and
what subject matter I've searching. Please provide the tools
necessary
to delete those drop down fields.

Hi hamilton,

I assume that you are using Internet Explorer. In order to prevent
the drop down lists from appearing below search boxes such as the ones
on the Google home page and Google Image Search page, you must turn
off Internet Explorer's AutoComplete feature for forms. Here is how
to do that:

1) In Internet Explorer, click on the 'Tools' menu.

2) Click on 'Internet Options...'

3) Click on the 'Content' tab.

4) Click on the 'AutoComplete...' button.

5) Uncheck the 'Forms' box.

6) Click on the 'Clear Forms' button.

7) Click on the 'OK' button.

8) Click on the 'OK' button.

9) Click on the 'OK' button.

If you have any questions about this answer, please request a
clarification.
