I have an links page for my site, instead of going into the html file and writing the new url's. I would like to have an template system to add urls and be crawled by search engine crawlers. I have an limited idea of the end result, please visit: http://www.diablo2source.com/site/results.htm?to=347&do=2596 GG crawls the links just fine. Except in GG's results the above url is shown with an blank space between the /site/ and results.htm?...., www.diablo2source.com/site/ results.htm?to=347&do=2596 Either using a single table with links, or the whole page being template based, Im not sure.. |

Several people have asked this question at WebMasterWorld, with no answer found. Search engine expert Brett Tabke doesn't know, but guesses: It causes: a) wordwrap on the long urls. Thus, those will small screens don't have to scroll right on serps. b) stops some screen scrapers extra work to parse the content. Which is the real reason? Who knows, but they are both good ones. http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/10220.htm |
