I want to purchase the actual yellow pages that are delivered to
people's homes in every "city" with a population of more than 250,000
people for every country in Asia. I am not interested in the
online yellow pages, commercial directories, import/export directories
etc. What I need are the name's of the companies or agencies that
distributes them, along with a contact name and phone number. Email
addresses, websites, costs, and weights would be nice but are not
required. This will allow me to contact each of them and provide
payment and shipping instructions.

Wow, what an incredibly huge project you have!  When I first saw your
questions this morning, I thought "There's no way anyone is going to
find all of these!".

I plead lack of coffee, sir.  I found lots, now that I've sufficiently
wiped out Indonesia's entire coffee crop for this year.  Well, that,
and I played a hunch.  Searching on "yellow pages publishers"
association led me to something very useful.

The complete international contact list for nearly *all* Yellow Pages
publishers worldwide is listed here, in .PDF format (you'll need

There is some disagreement in my home as to whether countries in the
Middle East are located on the African Continent or the Asian
Continent.  I say Asia, the spouse type thing, who is Syrian, says
Africa!

If, for the purposes of your project, these countries are considered
Asia, please don't hesitate to ask for further assistance, I will be
happy to provide you with the list (which begins on page 15 of the
.PDF document noted above).

The former USSR appears to be grouped with the European countries for
the purposes of the Yellow Pages Integrated Media Association
International Contact List.  Again, I will gladly provide you with the
list, if these countries are grouped with Asian countries for your
project, or you may find them beginning on page 8 of the .PDF
document.

Also, some directory publishers which Scriptor was not able to locate
for you are listed, including Bosnia-Herzogovina.

I regret I was unable to find publishers for listings in the following
countries:

Bangladesh
Cambodia
Darussalam 
Nepal
Sri Lanka
Vietnam 

I will continue looking for these, and will post them as a
clarification if I'm able to locate them.

Additionally, Darussalam is apparently part of Brunei (several
databases list Brunei as "Brunei Darussalam").

Still looking for Cambodia, without a lot of luck.  I imagine I'll

my eyes open, and see what new tricks I can come up with to suss this
one out.

optimistic about finding one, however - they have absolutely zero
trade listings in the APTEC database, in spite of being members, which

Until recently the Vietnam directory was produced by Pacific Access
(now called Sensis) of Australia.  However that arrangement is no
longer in place and I dod not know who produces a YP directory or if
indeed there is one.  Sensis may know
