Hello nii1,
Thank you for your question.
Probably the easiest way to find out is to folow the instructions on
this page at Yamaha:
http://www.yamaha-motor.com/scripts/RightNowDB.cfg/php.exe/enduser/std_adp.php?p_sid=RLhePnJg&p_lva=&p_faqid=7&p_created=993753603&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MjU0JnBfcGFnZT0x&p_li=
Question
How can I determine the model and year of my Yamaha?
Answer
Record the full serial/identification numbers (such as frame number,
hull number and engine number) from your Yamaha product.
Then see your authorized Yamaha dealer or call Yamaha Customer
Relations at (800) 962-7926.
Click here to find your nearest dealer. (linked at the above page)
Dealers or the factory 800# should be able to find the year easily for
you.
Had this been during business hours that I found your question, I
would have been happy to make the call for you. However, with the
information you have, a simple call to Yamaha on Monday should provide
the year.
Based on this page on the Litestar, it is *possible* that the 10th
digit indicates the year and would be 1992 in your case:

I trust my research will lead you to your answer. If a link above
should fail to work or anything require further explanation or
research, please do post a Request for Clarification prior to rating
the answer and closing the question and I will be pleased to assist
further.
