I would like to find current data for registrations and expirations of
domain names. The lastest info I could find was from Zooknic.com, on
under the section for "domain name counts" with a page heading of
"History of gTLD domain name growth"...the last report I saw was from
July 15th, 2002. If at all possible I would appreciate 2 sources for
comparison of data.

Thank You,
Joel

Hi Joel,

I have found a site that has very similar data to Zooknic.com, and it
is current. You will need to register, which is free, although I have
a feeling the link to the latest report might work without
registering.

State of the Domain
-------------------
https://www.sotd.info/

On their homepage click on the Register button. After registering,
visit these pages:

The latest report, Q1 2003
https://www.sotd.info/sotd/content/documents/SOTDQ103.pdf

List of archived reports
https://www.sotd.info/sotd/Member.aspx

The next best site I found, for comparison purposes, is:

Domain Worldwide
http://www.domainworldwide.com/

Strangely, it doesn't have any archived data, or any other pages on
its site. The Wayback Machine has archived their data from 24 May
2002:
http://web.archive.org/web/20020524173254/http://domainworldwide.com/

I was very surprised to find that SOTD do not charge for their data,
and I doubt another site would have the same level of detail for free.
SOTD is a subsidary of SnapNames.

You probably noticed that Zooknic.com sell their most recent data,
starting at $300 for a one-of report:

Search Strategy
---------------

Searched Google with many keywords, and browsed:
