I would like to locate my granfathers grave. As near as I can tell he was buried in Fairview Cemetery in ninteen ten. He was one of three electricians killed at work on the first power plant in Niagra Falls. His proper name is, Albert Edward Collett. However they spelled it with an (e) on the end, and I want to have it changed. | |

Hi there, I had actually contacted the Niagra Falls library about your grandfather. It took them a while to respond, but here's what they had to say: I've found an obituary for Albert Collett, in the Niagara Falls Daily Record, August 5, 1910 that indicates his interment is at the Fairview cemetery. "S.O.E plot". Our library listings for the Fairview cemetery do not have any Colletts listed, but they are not complete listings. The phone number for the cemetery is " 905-354-4721" and they may be able to assist you further. I also found Albert Henry Collett listed in a book on the Niagara Peninsula, in a "Men of the Niagara Peninsula' chapter. It has a few paragraphs on his business & family. If you would like a photocopy of the article or the obituary, please let me know. Sincerely, Heather Rodman Reference Department Niagara Falls Public Library 4848 Victoria Ave. Niagara Falls, Ont.
