I do not have access to the book. Can you tell me whether this is the
Oscar White photo in question?

Could not open second item. First items appears to be profile view.
Photo on book jacket is full frontal view and appears to come from
same setting as your first item. Thanks, JLH

Hello Axrivers2-ga,

Thanks for your question. The cover photo used for "Nothing to Fear,
Lessons in Leadership from FDR" belongs to the massive Corbis
collection of photographs, and is available directly from Corbis at
their site:

www.corbis.com

At the top of the page is a search box. Enter this number:

 IH023550

and it will pull up the picture you are seeking, "President Franklin
Roosevelt Seated in a Chair".

This is a black and white print and is the same as the book cover,
except that the book was printed in sepia tone.

The picture can downloaded directly from the site for subsequent
printing.

I believe you can also purchase a print directly from Corbis, but
you'll have to contact their Customer Service folks directly for
details.

Let me know through a Request for Clarification if you have any
questions or need any additional information.

Thanks for the kind words (not to mention, the kind tip!). I hope
you'll be just as pleased with my research on the Vavra photo you were
looking for.
