I would like to know what the industry (vendors, customers (large
corporates)and analysts) think of, and define as, multisourcing (also
known as opensourcing and smartsourcing).

Multisourcing is considered to be an alternative to outsourcing and
means that many suppliers are managed to reduce dependence on one
supplier. The many suppliers can be managed by the corporation itself,
or by a 'preferred or primary supplier'.

I need lots of quotes and encapsulated opinion on whether
multisourcing works, who the main and best players are in the telecoms
supply industry, what contracts have been awarded, what financial or
business advantages multisourcing can bring, whether telecoms
suppliers accept that it can bring mutual benefit etc
