Question ID: 20549
In SCO_SV unix how do I add a network printer so
/usr/lib/hpnp/cfg/canaccess 10.5.10.202 will not return the message
Printer access test failed. Add jennifer to the printer's access list
before continuing. Or at least how do I access some kind of manual or
help on canaccess?

There is already a network printer that responds positively to canaccess.

In case that doesn't fix your problem, since Jeff Liebermann was nice
enough to provide two workarounds to this problem, perhaps e-mailing
him at the address listed in his signature could fix your problem in a
timely fashion. Let me know either way whatever happens, I'll keep
searching for documentation on canaccess.

Thanks for your quick response but I found the information you pointed
me to myself. I indicated there was a printer that was already giving
me a positive response to the canaccess command so you would know I
would rather accomplish that than do the work arounds. I have found
that there is no need for the workaround on the network side, it is
not the problem. What I need is to know how to add the printer to the
canaccess list.
