I have a 1 ghz iMac (OS X) running Qwest DSL through an Action external
modem. I also have an NEC SuperScript 870 laser printer than only
works through serial port -- not available on the iMac. I was told to
try a router with a printer port (plus I could run it to my old PC for
the DSL).

When Qwest had me configure the Network on the iMac, they couldn't get
it to work right using DHCP, so I configured it manually. But I can't
get the Netgear router to work with it manually configured. The LAN
light and internet lights on both the modem and router are all lit,
but the Netgear setup just won't work. Everyone says I should have
been able to set up Network for DHCP but Qwest.

Any suggestions? I've got screen shots of this all in e-mail format if that helps.

Thanks. Terry.
