I remember a magazine short story from long ago, probably in the late 50's or early '60s. I'm pretty sure it was from Look or Saturday Home Journal. It was called "The Man Who Wrote to Presidents", and the point of the story (as I now reconstruct it 40 years later) concerned the pointlessness of writing to presidents... or, by extensions, highly placed people... with any real expectation that anything would come of it. I'd pay $5 for a reference to the article (source, publication date, exact title, author), plus another $5 for a copy of it. | |

A longshot but here are synopsis' of various "Look" magazines from the 50's. Do any of these issues ring a bell? http://www.woodenski.com/2neat/look.html |

Unfortunately neither of these suggestions is what I'm looking for, but thanks to both of you. |
