Who was the Greek "Xanthanese"?

I have not found any references to a Greek name that resembles
"Xanthanese," although there is a character named Xanthos in Homer's
"Iliad," and one of the Okeanides (Greek goddesses of clouds and rain)
is named Xanthe.

Could you tell us where you encountered the word "Xanthanese"?

I met someone names Xanthanese who claimed it was the name of an
ancient Greek philosopher. I was just curious as to who that original
Xanthanese was.

There was an ancient Greek philosopher named Xenocrates. Could that be the name?

Is it possible that you are looking for the ancient Greek philosopher
named Xenophanes?

The name "Xanthanese" has been passed down in my acquaintance's family
for at least three generations. However, it is possible that the name
was misinterpreted when it was originally bestowed.

I thank you for your help on this. I really don't think we need to
pursue it further.
