Hello paul2003,

Thank you for your question.

I'm confident that the song you are thinking of is "The Girl From
Ipanema" by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Norman Gimbel.

The Lyrics and Chords can be found on this page:
http://www.bossanovaguitar.com/antonio_carlos_jobim/chords_lyrics/the_girl_from_ipanema.html

"Tall and tan and young and lovely, The girl from Ipanema goes
walking, And when she passes each one she passes goes "a-a-ah!"

When she walks she's like a samba that, Swings so cool and sways so
gentle, That when she passes each one she passes goes "a-a-ah!"..."

See the page for the complete lyrics.

Verve has an album with this and other Jobim songs:

Antonio Carlos Jobim's music is full of the beauty of everything he
loved. He expressed a very peculiar point of view on the subject: "It
is difficult to distinguish where the feminine ends and nature begins.
My opus is all a song of love to Brazil; my land, people, flora, and
fauna..." "Corcovado" and "Wave" are songs that express nature's
strength, in an almost romantic way. Much different is the careless
tone of "Aguas de Marco", with the wonderful vocal of Elis Regina.
This song, for which Jobim created both music and lyrics, may have a
melody with worldwide acclaim, but it's words are among the most
significant in Brazilian-Portuguese poetry.

And Artist Direct shows a re-release of the original (or at least I
belive the original) album and version by Stan Getz:

Sorry, didn't come up with anything even close to that here. Hopefully
someone else will though.
