I am trying to replace a religious pendant that my husband wore around
his neck but lost. It was a replica of the famous statue in Rio de
Janerio of "Christ of Redeemer" (also called "Christ of the Andes").
There is a similar statue in the Florida Keys called "Christ of the
Deep." Any information on where I could purchase this or something
similar would be greatly appreciated.

For starters, I've found the following link to a pendant called "Risen
Christ" in 14K gold. It's on the webpage:

http://www.religiousjewelrystore.com/pendants.html

Is that what you're looking for? I'd be happy to keep looking if
you'd like. So far, it's been a bit of a challenge.

enjoy!

Hello Peterswife-ga. If you, or your Peter are seriously religious,
have you asked yourself if images may be used as aids in worship of
the true God.Have a look at your bible in John 4;23,24. True
worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth: That is the
kind of worshipper that the Father wants. God is a spirit, and those
who worship must worship in spirit and truth... Also 2 Corinthians 5;7
says We walk by faith, not by sight.
Isaiah 40;18 says To whom could you liken God? What image could you
contrive of Him. Acts 17;29 says Since we are the children of God, we
have no excuses for thinking that the Deity looks like anything in
gold, silver or stone that has been carved and designed by a man. and
Isaiah 42;8 states, My name is Yahweh, I will not yield my glory to
another, nor my honour to idols. So you can see from god`s own word,
He does not like ANY images, Even of his own son. If he had wanted man
to make images, of any sort of his son, Jesus, He would have spelt it
out in the Bible. The most exact scripture is at Exodus 20;4,5 where
it says " You shall not make yourself a carved image OR ANY LIKENESS
of anything in heaven { Jesus is in heaven} or on earth beneath or in
the waters under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve
them, for I, Yahweh you god, am a jealous God. So you can see that if
you truly want what the Bible wants, Let the pendant stay lost.

Deepseep-ga..thank you for looking. I have seen the "Risen Christ"
pendant in my searches. It may be what I have to get but I was hoping
for the statue replica. I have not had any luck in my searches either.

Peterswife ~

Have you considered calling one of the jewelry stores in Rio de
Janeiro? Of all the places that would have a pendant, it would seem to
me that one of those jewelry stores would.

Just an idea,
Serenata
