Question ID: 206668
I would need a list of companies producing independent equity research
in Europe (like Morningstar.com, Standard & Poor's , Arete Research
etc.)

Independent research providers do similar kind of equity research like
research focused stockbrokers but they do not have any stock
brokeraage or investment banking activities.

Requirements:
-List should include: Company name, address, phone number, www-address
(phone number and address can be forgotten if the list is otherwise
perfect: it does not include any brokers or any independent research
firms outside Europe)

How many companies do you expect as a $5-worth answer?

Answer for "politicalguru-ga" about: "How many companies do you expect
as a $5-worth answer?"
=> there are not so many that kind of companies in Europe. Actually I
do not even know how many there are and I suppose that the number of
those companies is below 50.
Washington post estimates (www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/
articles/A27649-2003May7.html ) that:
"Collectively, such firms -- estimates of their number range from less
than 100 to several hundred -- have a track record of stock picks that
often is better than that of their more prominent Wall Street cousins.
"
=> so if there are 100 - 500 of this kind of firms in the US, then
there are not more than that operating in Europe and if I get a list
that contains the most relevant half of them, I will be more than
happy.

If you feel that the price for the question is wrong, I am open to
suggestions about how much this question should cost... (actually I
think that such a feature should be a standard feature in this
service: the answerers could post a price for which they are willing
to answer the question if the set price is not high enough)
