I would suggest calling DELL tech support @ 1-800-624-9896

Or you can log on to Dell support and look up the specifics on your
system by entering the s/n and then looking up the specific DVD player
you have (there are several and I can't tell based on only the model
name)

FYI - there are 2 Latitude CPx models - H & J

-----

More info:

I called Dell but they need a service tag off your laptop to get this
info so see the above # if you want to talk to a real person.

The person I talked to pointed me to this site:

http://www.webopedia.com/DidYouKnow/Hardware_Software/2003/DVDFormatsExplained.asp

That page gives a VERY detail explination of the different DVD formats
and which drives support which. If you know the model of your DVD
drive on your laptop you should be able to figgure out if it will read
the DVD-R discs based on the info there.

Good luck!!
