This very question was researched and answered quite capably by my
colleague,  thx1138-ga. You can read his answer, as provided through

However, I believe the most accurate answer to this question is that
passed down by my grandfather:

"He'd chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could, if a woodchuck could
chuck wood."

That answer is quite obviously correct, as woodchucks are famous for
their work ethic.

Research strategy:

My grandfather provided me with the answer to this question many years
ago. I have further verified this answer with the following Google

* "chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could"
