Hello pavlo-ga: It is very difficult to find a hospital that can really be called as a leader on the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension). Let me share my opinion with you and than I will select my top choices. The most relevant guide to the top hospitals is the US News Guide Survey that ranks hospitals in 17 categories ttp://www.usnews.com/usnews/nycu/health/hosptl/tophosp.htm. Since, hypertension is very closely associated with heart functions; therefore it is usually taken as granted that the centers and hospitals that have the best medical care for heart and vascular disease also have good hypertension care facilities. The assumption is easily demonstrated by the fact that the top hospitals in the nation for heart related disease have a separate department for hypertension. Examples are Mayo Clinic that is NO 2 (division of Hypertension Rochester MINN and Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, Scottsdale, AZ. Cleveland Clinic is NO 1 for heart disease (Division of nephrology and hypertension) http://www.clevelandclinic.org/nephrology/ My humble advice is to review the rankings of heart treatment centers of the following hospitals and consult them to find the best treatment center for you. The rankings are located at http://www.usnews.com/usnews/nycu/health/hosptl/rankings/specihqcard.htm Now if you ask me, which is the best hospital? I will suggest either Cleveland Clinic or Mayo Clinic for their immaculate reputation of cardiovascular and related departments that far exceeds that of any other institution. (100 and 87 reputation score, respectively). Not only those but the two hospitals are considered to be the elite medical facilities in the nation and were granted third and second spots respectively, in the nationwide rankings by US News (see Roll of Honor). Here are some other organizations considered to be the authority in the education of hypertension. National Heart Lung and Blood Institute http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/ American Society of Hypertension, INC http://www.ash-us.org National High Blood Pressure Educational Council http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/about/nhbpep/index.htm Journal of Hypertension http://www.jhypertension.com/ Pulmonary Hypertension Association http://www.phassociation.org/ World Hypertension League http://www.mco.edu/org/whl/ American Heart Association - Hypertension http://hyper.ahajournals.org/ WEBSITES Life clinic http://www.bloodpressure.com Search Strategy: best hospitals AND hypertension best hospitals hypertension hospital hypertension blood pressure hypertension treatment I hope this will help. If you are not satisfied, please ask for clarification before rating. I wish you very good luck. Sincerely, leader-ga |

It's my pleasure IsteniO. I am glad you asked. Firstly I should say that I am in my sixties and have been on controlling medication for more more than a decade (probably 15 years) Everything was fine I was taking 10mg of AgonSR and it kept my hypertension at a reasonable level. Then I had an exploratory operation on my bladder and some other "water-works" problems fixed up with surgery. About a month after surgery my blood pressure sky-rocketed to 200/100. I am very much against medications of any sort and desperately wanted to get my blood pressure down without medication if possible. Well I did a simple search on "High Blood Pressure" and found numerous products and/or services offered for sale. Because I am fortunate not to have financial problems I purchased every single product and/or service offered. Every single one of them and tried them all. One and only product stood out from the rest firstly in its looks and the way it was presented then secondly when it arrived it just looked like a quality product. Furthermore the info provided made sense to me. This together with what appeared to be many genuine testimonials made me decide to really give this product a go. I gave it a real "serious" go, and it has worked exceptionally well for me. The product is called "Resperate" and it is a bio-feed-back breathing machine. It actually teaches you to modify your breathing (that is taking longer breaths). I'm am currently in Jamaica Kingston with limited internet connection but from memory I think their website is simply called : www.resperate.com I have now been using it for almost 12 months with amazing results. I cannot speak too highly of the product. I forget now what it cost but it was certainly worth every penny. My blood pressure is now the lowest it has ever been in my adult life 140/70 and I was able to firstly reduce my medication from 10MG daily to 5mg daily. I then went down to 2.5mg daily. My doctor could not believe it!! I now do not take or need any medication at all. I should point out that I have gradually weaned myself off the medication and I have taken the breathing exercise very, very seriously. It took only about a week for the first significant improvements to appear. So there you go Isterino, I hope you found that to be of interest. Kind regards from Roger currently travelling in Jamaica |
