I have only a few hours to shop this Sunday before returning to
Australia. I am staying close to Los Angeles airport (Hilton Los
Angeles Airport,5711 West Century Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90045)and
require easy access to the nearest shop where I can be assured of
purchasing the following - DHEA, natural progesterone cream, and
melatonin (also if possible but I know this is a hard one - xylitol
mints or gums). I won't have a car and will be relying on public
transport (or a cab if really close by). Thanks, Karon.

Hello karon,

I have located a store approximately 4 miles (6.4 kilometers) from
where you will be staying that sells DHEA and melatonin. However,
they don't have the natural progesterone cream, or the xylitol mints
or gums.

Please let me know if you would like me to post this information as
the answer. Or you may want to wait and see if another researcher is
able to locate a store that sells the other items.

There may also be stores that are further away that sell these items.
How far is too far?

Don't worry about the xylitol products, but I do want the three: DHEA,
melatonin & natural progesterone cream please. Also the store needs to
be easily accessiblr from the airport or the hotel - this is probably
more important than distance. I'll have a 12 year old boy in tow so if
the store was in a mall or major shopping district - somewhere he
would enjoy - that would be good. The store also needs to be open
Sunday.

Hello Karon,

The DHEA and melatonin seem to be fairly easy to find. The natural
progesterone cream is a little more difficult. I did find two stores
that have it in small quantities (only a few packages in stock). Both
stores are in popular shopping malls that a 12-year boy old would
probably enjoy. By the way, I live in Los Angeles and I am familiar
with both malls. They are each approximately 10 miles from your
hotel. The stores will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

One of the stores has a product called “Fruit Xylichew” which is a gum
is sweetened with xylitol.

Please let me know it this will meet your needs.

I apologize for the typos. The last 2 sentences should read:

"One of the stores has a product called “Fruit Xylichew” which is a
gum sweetened with xylitol.

Please let me know if this will meet your needs."

Hello Karon,

I found another store since I wrote the request for clarification.
You have three locations to choose from.

The items that you are looking for can be found at Great Earth
Vitamins at the Westfield Shoppingtown Century City (commonly referred
to as the Century City Shopping Center).

The Century City Shopping Center is located at:

10250 Santa Monica Blvd
West Los Angeles, CA 90067
Tel: (310) 277-3898
Fax: (310) 553-3812
http://www.westfield.com/us/centres/california/centurycity/

This is approximately 10 miles from your hotel.

The phone number for Great Earth Vitamins at Century City is
310-286-9844. They sell DHEA and melatonin and seem to have a good
amount in stock. They have a limited supply of the natural
progesterone cream. I was told that the following items are currently
in stock:

Progest
Two 2-ounce packages, $26.95 each
Three double size packages, $39.99 each

Progesterone 900
Two 2-ounce packages, $29.95 each

They also sell Fruit Xylichew. The person I spoke to said that they
have about 12 packages at $2.15 each.

========================

The Great Earth Vitamins store at Manhattan Village also sells these
products.

The Manhattan Village Shopping Center is located at:

3200 Sepulveda Blvd.
Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
Phone: (310) 546-5556
http://www.shopmanhattanvillage.com

This is approximately 4 miles from your hotel.

The phone number for Great Earth Vitamins at Manhattan Village is
(310) 546-3478. They also carry DHEA and melatonin and a limited
supply of natural progesterone cream. According to the person I spoke
to, they have the following items in stock:

Progesticare
One, 2-ounce pump, $24.95

Progest
Two, 2-ounce body cream, $26.99

They also have a few packages of Xleardent gum.

========================

Another store that carries these items is General Nutrition Center at
Beverly Center.

The Beverly Center is located at:

8500 Beverly Boulevard
Los Angeles, CA 90048
(310) 854-0071
http://www.beverlycenter.com/

This is approximately 10 miles from your hotel.

The phone number for General Nutrition Center at Beverly Center is
(310) 657-6773. The store website is:
http://www.beverlycenter.com/directory/450.html

They also sell several varieties of DHEA and melatonin and seem to
have a good amount in stock. They have a very limited supply of the
natural progesterone cream. I was told that the following items are
currently in stock:

Progesta
One 48-dosage package, $26.99

Femgest
One, buy one – get one free package of two 2-ounce bottles, $24.50

I recommend that you call whichever store you choose before you go, to
confirm that these items are still in stock. All of these malls are
very popular and your hotel can provide you with transportation
information.

I hope you have found this information helpful. If you have any
questions, please request clarification prior to rating the answer.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit to our city. Have a safe trip
home.

Search strategy:

I am familiar with the shopping malls in the area. I searched the web
for the mall website and searched the mall directory for stores that
sell these types of products (“Beauty & Health”). I called the stores
and asked if they have these products in stock.
