Check the picture frame at

I am looking for the maker of this item or one nearly identical- It
must be 15" or larger, retail at aprox the same price and have a
remote control. I know that there are alot of digital frames , but I
need one like this.

Hello.

Well, it seems that this exact product is unique to the company that
sells it (i.e., "Digital Photo Frame Inc").
http://www.deskflags.com/frame.htm
Their contact information is available at the bottom of the page that
lists their warranty.
Digital Photo Frame
8111 Bonnafair Drive
Hermitage, TN 37076
http://www.deskflags.com/warranty.htm

You should have no trouble buying an identical unit from this company
at approximately the same price, as the company has two more identical
frames currently for sale on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2929503459&category=30024

The auction ends on Monday, May 26th. You can also use eBay's "Buy It
Now" feature for an immediate purchase.

I hope this answers your question. If anything is unclear, please let
me know via the "request clarification" feature. Thanks.

I am looking for the manufacturer of the item. I am aware that I can
go to ebay and buy one. I want to buy quantities at wholesale. I only
mentioned the aprox retail price so that if a researcher found a
similar item it would have aprox teh same retail price point.

In your original question, you wrote, "...but I need one like this."

I understood "one" to mean a single unit.

Nonetheless, it seems that this company Digital Photo Frame is
assembling these units themselves from industry-standard components
(LCDs, remotes, etc.). Although the company does sell on eBay, it's
possible to deal with them directly. Have you tried contacting them?
Maybe you could arrange some sort of quantity discount. Again, their
web site is at:
http://www.deskflags.com/frame.htm

Again, I honestly think that they're probably just putting a frame
around 15 inch LCD screens and combining it with a product like Dazzle
Universal TV Photoshow.
http://www.dazzle.com/products/tvps_univ.html
Notice how the remote control pictured on Dazzle's site is exactly
like the one on deskflags.com (notice the unique colored star design
near the bottom of the remote; also notice how the base of the remote
is not picture on the eBay site).
http://www.deskflags.com/frame.htm
Notice also that the Dazzle unit works with "Compact Flash (Type 1 or
2), IBM Microdrive, Smart Media, Memory Stick, Secure Digital,
MultiMedia Card"
And the "Digital Photo Frame" has more or less identical specs:
"Accepts Compact Flash, Smart Media 3v, and IBM micro drives"
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2927501301&category=30024

I hope this helps.

Sorry for that typo:

That should have read:

"... also notice how the base of the remote is not pictured on the eBay site"

Upon further analysis, it seems that specs are closer to Dazzle's
basic TV Photo Show (rather than the Universal Model)
http://www.dazzle.com/products/TVPhotoShow.html
The remote functions picture here...
http://www.deskflags.com/remote.jpg
...Correspond with those described in the TV Photo Show manual
http://www.dazzle.com/ftp/manuals/tvps_En_ug.pdf

Again, notice the unique pattern of the colored stars in the lower
portion of the remote:

I apoligise for the phrase " I need one" upon rereading the question
it wasn't clear. I have contacted them and they said there are no
quantity discounts. As I asked other questions, my opinion formed that
they didn't manufacture this device. Perhaps someone else is
assembling it and they retail it. This is a good answer because now I
can look into assembling them myself or having it done. Thanks
