Question ID: 208302
Is there any sample code showing how to log data to a Microsoft Access
2000 database from Visual Basic 6? The data will be time/date stamped
ID tags from an RFID reader, and the tags will be referenced to part
numbers, descriptions, locations, etc. I simply need to add records
to a table, and read from the database to display the part currently
at the reader.

Hi, welday007-ga:

Access 2000 marks a "watershed" for the Access product lines between
the older DAO technology, highly optimized for ODBC, and the newer ADO
technology. While ADO is in some sense the future of Microsoft data
access, Access 2000 still has a foot in both camps. Do you have any
preference between these two API's?

regards, mathtalk-ga

I would prefer the newer ADO.
