Hi there!

I tried putting "plaza spada" into Google to look for an exact match
and I found nothing:
Is that the correct spelling and if so, what is the Plaza Spada?

Do you have any other examples?

Regards,
errol-ga.

Hi there, Zomba!

There are several reasons why this website is not in the Google index.

The first reason and perhaps the most important is that the Google bot
does not have any text to index other than the page title and the URL
itself because the site is entirely made in Flash which no search
engine is capable of spidering.
The site was once in 100% HTML but it may have been dropped from the
index due to the lack of text that could be spidered:
http://web.archive.org/web/20011202104538/http://www.plazaspada.com/

For more on this, visit this Google help page:

I also looked at the source for the introduction page and the main
site which gives you another problem.
Although Google does not pay any attention to Meta tags, the site
doesn't have any Meta Description or Meta Keywords present in the code
which may be a problem for other search engines.

For example, Hotbot:
http://www.hotbot.com/default.asp?prov=Inktomi&query=www.plazaspada.com&ps=&loc=searchbox&tab=web
and Alexa:
http://www.alexa.com/data/details?url=www.plazaspada.com

However, Alltheweb do have the site indexed:
http://www.alltheweb.com/search?q=%2Burl.all%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.plazaspada.com+%2Bsite%3Aplazaspada.com&c=web&cs=iso-8859-1&co=1&no=off&l=any

The second and also very important reason is that no other site on the
internet (at least, no other site also indexed by Google) is linking
to the site either.
External links are very important, the more that a site has, the
higher up in the search results it will be and if the sites linking to
yours also have a high rating it will boost your site even further.
For more on this, see this page:

If this is your site, what can you do to get it indexed?
The first thing you should do is read the following pages:
http://outer-court.com/tech/search_engine_optimization.html

Then, it is recommended that you perform these important steps:

- Create a HTML only alternative to your site, for the search engines
and for people who may not have flash or be able to install it (for
example, a mobile phone).
- Submit your URL to as many search engines as possible.
- Submit your URL to directories such as DMOZ [ http://dmoz.org ] and
Yahoo [ http://dir.yahoo.com ].
- If you know similar websites or organizations, ask them if they
would like to link to your site and you can link to them in return.
- If there are any web sites which may be interested in writing a news
story about your company (and so including a link in the article),
contact them.
- Try to include some related content.
For example, I used to run a computer game organization and when I put
some common game walkthrough guides on the site, my traffic tripled.
- Be patient, it takes many weeks to actually start appearing in
search results.

A free site I personally recommend for submitting to large amounts of
directories and search engines in one session is Self Promotion [
http://selfpromotion.com ].
It also has a lot of hints to get you listed.
Two other useful resources are Search Engine World [
http://www.searchengineworld.com ] and Search Engine Watch [
http://www.searchenginewatch.com ].

The second site that you gave me, Piosys, also has the same problems.
There is very little to no text for Google to save in it's index so it
will never show up in search results or it may never be indexed at
all.

I hope this helps you to understand it.
Kind regards,
errol-ga.
