I'm looking for links to non-American small business websites with
excellent/interesting user interfaces. I've check web award sites.
I've looked at things like restaurants in italy with websites, murano
glass in Venice, and Japanese dolls. The sites have to be less than 2
years old. I want brick and mortar businesses that are using a website
for its value added benefits. So I'm not interested in portfolios of
designers. Thanks. |

A couple more points of clarification.
You mentioned you're looking for small businesses, less than two-years
old, who offer products or services. However, you don't want designer
portfolios. Are there other industries we should steer clear of?
Also, what constitutes "excellent or interesting user interfaces"?
Thank you,

The type of business I'm looking for is a small business that has
benefitted from putting their products and services on the web. I'm
not that interested in people showing their portfolio and I find most
design agencies I've seen to be weak on user interface.
What constitutes a good interface? Someone whose kept in mind the best
practices of user interface design. Their interfaces have at least a
few of the following qualities.
1. Consistency
2. Simplicity
3. Ease of Use
4. Clarity
5. Availability of Options
6. Good User Feedback
The designs can be innovative or unusal but they have to be usable and
not frustrating.
