BigFix Consumer Edition might meet your needs: BigFix Consumer Edition brings the benefits of Patch Manager 3.0 to small business and individual computer users. The BigFix Consumer Client automatically downloads and reads technical support information and alerts you if it applies to your PC, then offers an automated fix that's easy to understand and simple to install. It can proactively reduce the number of problems that affect your computer. http://bigfix.com/website/products/overview.html This isn't automatic, but it's handy. Here you'll find updates and patches for Windows: http://www.techspot.com/tweaks/updates/ |

curiousd... I'm with magnesium-ga on this one. I used to use Catch-Up but have been using BigFix for about 2 years now. You can essentially dispense with using Windows Update if you use BigFix. The free 'consumer' version is available for download on this page: http://bigfix.com/website/products/consumer.html |
