Hello mikeeey-ga,

Here is the order to paint "'Heligoland August 28th. 1914'" in gold
letters on all ships (including the HMS Arethusa) that served in that
battle, as well as to fix a "brass plate", engraved with specific
text, on the Arethusa:

"'Gallant Arethusa'"

I hope that this information is helpful.

I just realized that my search on Ixquick also came up with the song
from which the text on the brass plate derives.

"The Saucy Arethusa"
20,000 Volkslieder
