For Scriptor:

Assess the viability of the Slow Chloride Test for Determining Weak
Conductivity. In other words, when did elephants lose the auxin
hormone inhibiting growth of their auxilary ears? Was it before they
lost the green pigment in their toenails (approx 1231??), or after
their trunk elongated as a result of a corrupt Cytochrome complex
(approx 1483)???

Dear tisme,

Both theories are, according to latest research, wrong. In fact, the
merciless destiny came over the elephants much earlier, in the 4th
century BC, around 335 BC. Obviously, the army of Alexander the Great
carried a rare mutated elephant virus (which seems to have originated
in Persian battle elephant barracks) with their war elephants, which
reached both Indian and later, via the elephant units of king
Ptolemaios of Egypt, also the African elephants. That was bad luck for
the poor animals, but then again, life is hard for all of us, isn't
it?

Hope these new insights are the answer you were looking for!
