Hello there
I hope you don't mind if they are not alphabetized. I will list them
as I find them. I wish I was living on one, subtropical, with easy
access to civilization if I so choose. Many of the population figures
date from the 80s (or earlier) but since populations are so low, there
is virtually no chance they would have reached the 5000 mark since and
some may even now be abandoned. It would seem that census figures for
many (most?) islands are not kept as up to date as larger entities.
If there is no date following the population figure, I must presume it
is fairly current.

There are of course many, many more. You can find just about any kind
of demographic information about islands you want here:
http://www.unep.ch/islands/isldir.htm - Island Directory - UN
Earthwatch Website. If yoiu are worried about the population of any
of the islands passing the 5000 mark since the last census figures,
you will also find island square milage information which demonstrates
that most of these islands are/were at maximum population support
already.
Search - Google
Terms - island populations
If I may clarify anything before you rate the answer, please ask.
