Hi, I've been asked to put together a *detailed* flow diagram
illustrating the steps and people/functions involved in creating and
implementing a typical advertising campaign. It needs to start from
the point at which a client briefs the agency(ies?) and run through to
when the ads actually appear. The more detailed the better; I already
know the major steps so what I'm looking for is the detail in-between
about how things actually happen on a day-to-day basis. Also, it
needs to cover off all parties
involved, not just those who are employed by the ad agencies
themselves. (E.g., I need to know at what points any specialist
external suppliers and media owners are involved). I'm particularly
interested in the workflow for traditional advertising like TV, radio,
print, and also to find out if there are any big differences by region
(e.g., US versus Europe or Asia).
I'm sure someone somewhere must have researched this before but
nothing turned up in the quick search I did. I'm now resorting to
interviewing people who've worked in advertising, but thought I'd also
ask you expert researchers just in case you have better luck! Thanks
in advance, Lynette. :-) |
