otakun-ga,
I see that fp-ga has already started you off with a link to the kanji
in his comment. Here's some additional info and links about these
kanji, in case they might help:
The kanji in "Akihabara" mean "Autumn Leaf Field" in English. They're
"aki", "autumn"; "ha", "leaf"; and "hara" or in this case "bara",
"field". Of course, "eki" means "station".

Yes, this should be it - the electronics market starts just outside of
Akihabara eki. It's a great place, as long as you don't mind crowds!
If you like Akihabara, you might also want to check out Den Den Town
in Osaka, too. It's similar, but the stores are smaller and a bit
quirkier than those in Akihabara, so it's a lot of fun to wander
around in.
Thanks for the rating and your kind tip, good luck! ^__^
