Question ID: 209958
If an Asian couple in 1969 lie outrageously about their pedgry, such
as being of wealth and aristocracy, etc, when in truth they are from
poor families. They get an invitation from the United States Embassy.
Later, in 1991, a person from the attorney general's office finds out
that they lied. They go in front of attorneys and not knowing that
they checked up on them, tell them that they were from very poor
families and basically these attorneys find out that they lied about
their background. This family came to the U.S. with no money and
eventually became millionaires. Can anyone find a way to such as
exposing fraud or perjury or blackmail try and get this family's
money. Think of any possible way.

There seems to be a misunderstanding. I am not trying to steal this
family's money. I am gathering information for a novel I am working
on. The question is not real. It is made up.

Hrm... this just sounds a bit malicious. I thought the rags-to-riches
dream was what made America well... America.

I agree with Skermit. I have no idea of what Asian country you are
speaking of but there are places in the world that are so bad, people
are willing to say or do most anything to get away from there.

If they moved to the US and built their fortune by honest means, then
more power to them. I would not help anybody try to take it away from
them.

It should also be noted that lying on a federal document such as a
visa application carries severe penalties, ($10,000 fine and
imprisonment, I think), but I doubt the government would have any
claim to monies earned while here illegally, assuming the taxes on
these earnings were paid in full.
If so inclined, they could probably freeze your assets, at least
temporarily. Possibly people that had business transactions with them
may have a claim that contracts entered into are not valid,
considering they were based on one's claim that they were a citizen,
which they were not.
I'm no lawyer, but it seems possible.
