The song is from the 60's or 70's. It is song by a woman. It's main
refrain or chorus is "what would I do to be a diamond in your eyes
again"
More lyrics are "What would I do to be beside you one more time. What
would I do to be a diamond in your eyes again. Maybe I'll just go
away, maybe I'll just go away, maybe I'll just go away."
I would like to know the name of this song and the name of the
artist.

Hello.

I believe that you're thinking of "Blue Moon With Heartache" by
Rosanne Cash.

"What would I give to be a diamond in your eyes again
What would I give to bring back those old times
What did I say to make your cold heart bleed this way
Maybe I'll just go away today

A CD with the song is available from Tower Records:
http://www.towerrecords.com/product.aspx?pfid=1319379&cc=USD

search strategy: "diamond in your eyes again", "just go away"

I hope this helps.
