I don't think there's really an answer to this, Vintage, except: Forever, or virtually so. Women of the upper and middle classes have been using mirrors in boudoirs since Biblical times. Boudoir or dressing room dressers with either handheld or large mounted mirrors are something of a common denominator in history, and are far more out of fashion now (in the last, say 20-odd years) than they ever have been before. I know this isn't very helpful, but it's honest. |
