I'm looking for a photo of new york city (Arial view looking south
from about 50th street) with the major buildings indicated by some
sort of callout. ie, labels showing the Empire State Building,
Chrysler Building, etc.) Must be recent. thanks |

What kind of use do you intend for this? For instance, does it need
to be a large, high-resolution photo for printing? Or is it just for
reference?
Also, would finding an existing photo without "callouts" work if a
researcher could manually add the callouts for you?
Lastly, are you willing to use rights-managed or one-time-payment
("royalty free") images, or only free, public domain ones?

I am primarily looking for the infomation on the buildings, so
resolution, use and rights are not the priority. If a researcher can
provide me with the information spearately from the picture that will
be fine. Ideally, the buildings I am interested in are ones that are
clearly visible at night, ie, Empire, Chrysler, Bear Stearns, etc.

Emmason-ga,
Are you familiar with this page:
http://www.wirednewyork.com/new_york_skyscrapers.htm
It lists all the major buildings in the skyline by height, with
information on each one -- height, data started and completed,
architect, etc -- and usually, a picture as well. It's not the
"callout" you were seeking, but it certainly should have all the
information you seem to be looking for. Hope it's a help.
