manufacturers of sweets in murcia spain

Hello candyfloss

I've found a manufacturer in Murcia with quite a range of novelty
sweets and lollipops, but no dummies specified in their current
catalogue.

Let me tell you what else I've found.

An English manufacturer of two kinds:
1 - clear red dummies, described as "toffee" dummies
2 - multi-colour "rock" dummies
Both of these are about £2.50 per dozen

American manufacturer of single-coloured fruit-flavoured dummies -
e.g. red strawberry ones, yellow lemon ones etc.

Australian manufacturer of "toffee" dummies.

Since your question's subject line specifies red and white dummies, I
thought at this stage it would be a good idea to check whether you are
interested in any other colours.

Also - are you interested in manufacturers worldwide - or only in
certain countries?

Thanks - Leli

Hello again

Unfortunately I can't find any red and white dummies.

When you say "please advise who we should contact", do you mean you'd
be happy with an answer that just had contact information for the
companies I've already mentioned, even though they only make other
sweets?

Or would you rather wait to see if another researcher can track down a
manufacturer of red and white dummies?

Sorry to send you another clarification request, but we do want to
give you a satisfactory answer. Just let us know which option you
would prefer: a list of the "near-misses" or a chance for another
researcher to have a go at this.

Thanks - Leli

I'm confused, too.

Since leli-ga said she had located
"clear red dummies, described as "toffee" dummies"
and
"red strawberry ones"

...and, since candyfloss said the manufacturers could
be "anywhere in the world", and "thought you said you
located them",

...it occurs to me that leli-ga believes candyfloss is
looking only for dummies which are *both* red and white,
whereas candyfloss is asking for sources for red dummies
and white dummies.

Clarifying this might simplify things.

Hello candyfloss

I am very sorry if you have been waiting a long time to hear from me.
Unfortunately the system only alerts a researcher when messages have
been posted in the "clarification" section and so I missed your
requests in the "comments" section until now.
Apologies for the inconvenience.

If you can wait another day or two, there will be time to see if I get
any helpful answers to three emails I've just sent out to
manufacturers who I believe make dummies, though I don't yet know in
what colours.

Unless I hear from you, I'll assume this is OK, and will answer you on
Wednesday at the latest.

Hello again

I'm afraid I haven't been able to build on my first summary of my
findings, so I think it's better if I tell you what I have discovered
in a comment at the bottom of the page. Then you can check whether it
is of use to you.

Good luck!

Sorry we haven't found what you wanted.

Since you asked about manufacturers in Murcia, I thought I'd just pass
on this web address for the fourth biggest Spanish producer of sweets
and lollipops. They are located in Murcia.

Good luck!

In England the novelty sweet manufacturers are located in seaside
areas, especially Blackpool. I telephoned three places but found they
wanted to know things like where the dummies were to be shipped etc.
before discussing much with me.

One helpful piece of information: I was told that if you were placing
a large order, a rock manufacturer might be persuaded to produce
dummies in red and white rock even though multi-coloured dummies are a
more standard item.

This company makes plain red dummies (and also the rainbow stripes on
white kind):

Arnolds Manufacturing Confectioners
9 Cowley Rd Blackpool
01253 761826

Price is about £2.50 a dozen

This is a list of other manufacturers and wholesalers in Lancashire.
One, who I don't have permission to name, told me who could put me in
touch with someone who would supply red candy dummies for export.

These companies make dummies, according to their websites:
http://www.coronationrock.co.uk/novelties.html
http://www.norfolkbroads.com/candymakers/

The American manufacturers I found are in numerous web directories but
I haven't been able to make direct contact with them.

"Chupetas
They are made from the finest candy ingredients, molded to look like
baby pacifiers. They come in different flavors. Strawberry, lemon,
orange, cherry, pineapple and watermelon."

If you click to enlarge the picture you'll see dummies where the
sucking part is red and the ring to hold it with is white:

    Ricos Tostaditos Inc.
    740 West 28 Street
    Hialeah, FL 33010

    Tel: (305) 885-7392
    Fax: (305) 885-7376
    email: meringueking@aol.com

This company has various "baby's bottles" confectionery items:

I hope you manage to find something suitable ~ Leli
