This is version 23 of my question (re. patented floss holder)--due to changes in web pages. 35 secs:Floss tensioner's Animated Instructions. 5 stars guaranteed to new answerer. *****5*****5*****5*****5*****5*****5*****5** Please answer these questions only if you answered no question re. this product yet, and you are interested in flossing for yourself (even if you don't floss frequently or at all yet, but you wish to). The web-page http://www.geocities.com/emailerss/ is animated directions along mostly how-to-use pictures 1.Is it clear from this web-page how to use this product, and how many minutes have you (the researcher) spent on it? Have you read all the text in it? Please comment. 2.Would you use this floss tensioner product at least seldom/partly? Please comment. 3. Can you think of someone you know (including yourself) and could be interested to pay $3.33 for a 6-pack coming with free shipping & Handling fees (one piece is good for about 250 flossing sessions or days, 6 in pack, no floss in package)? Please comment. You can be as brief as you wish. |

1. Seems clear on how to use this product, just that the animation looked a bit complicated with all of the knotting and folding over of the floss. I spent about 3 minutes looking over the pictures and accompanying text. Yes I read all the text. 2. I probably wouldn't use this product, because while I do floss semi-regularly (once/twice a week perhaps?), it's usually not a thorough 5 minute dealie, probably just a once over to work out any pieces of food stuck over from a steak or piece of fruit. 3. The market for a device such as this at that price might not be so high. I WOULD purchase this device for flossing just based on impulse if I saw it at my local CVS or other conveneince store, but again, I don't know how much use I'd get out of it. It definite looks like it works if that makes sense. Thanks for your question. skermit-ga |

Comments on your ad
From: respree-ga on 30 May 2003 05:50 PDT |
These comments go beyond the scope of your question, but I'd like to offer some comments about your ad. 1. I think you should clean up your graphics a bit. They look a bit blurred to me. You light source is inconsistent (notice how some pictures look bright and others look dim) and your images appear to be taken at different times. The contrast wouldn't be so pronounced if you didn't have one next to the other. I do see you're trying show a progression of how to thread your device. I would retake all your pictures at the same time if you plan on showing them side-by-side. 2. The sideways text is difficult to read. I had to tilt my head to the left to read it. Now my neck hurts. =) 3. I would eliminate the word 'hand' on your top graphic. Its obviously a hand. 4. I don't think you should be so informal with language (i.e. One hand, nothing 't do, flosss, etc.), it makes your sales presentation look amateurish. 5. "In 15-45 seconds or 15-25 seconds..." This text is confusing. Why make a distinction? I'm assuming this is depending on which way you prepare the device, but you don't explain the two methods. Actually, I don't think an explanation is really necessary. Why don't you just say "in under a minute." I don't think the explanation of the number of seconds will affect a buyer's decision to get it or not. That is to say, I will buy it if I can do it in 45 seconds, but WON'T buy it if it takes 50 seconds. 6. Eliminate that registered trademark symbol on your floss names. Its makes it hard to read and I don't think any company will sue you for not using it (my personal opinion, but I'm not a lawyer). After all, you're promoting their product. 7. Eliminate "and other flosses." from the Recommended Flosses line. This tells them nothing and defeats the purpose of recommending any flosses. If it works equally well with all flosses, eliminate the entire line and just say "works with all flosses." 8. I would not use the animated gif presentation. I find it irritating and hard to follow. You're trying to create a 'movie' with only 19 frames. Hence, its 'jerky' and looks very much like an animated ad, which every web surfer has trained his eyes to purposely avoid. 9. Why don't you offer to include a small amount of floss so your customers can use it right away (if they don't have any floss on hand)? It will probably cost you next to nothing and improve your customer experience. I hope these opinions help, my 2 cents for what its worth. I admire your persistence in doing your research before launching your product, but the presentation needs some work. You might want to post these comments as a question and see if others agree. Good luck with your efforts. |

Hi respree-ga , Thank you very much for your comments. Please reconsider your advisory fee so I could send you a Paypal for your help. (2 cents is below the minimum -- i guess-- and your addvice is worth much more). :) Best regards |

Hi googel-ga: No need for payment. I am not a GA Researcher, just an observer who wanted to contribute and help. I hope you didn't think my comments were too harsh. I have owned a website for 4 years now marketing products online, so I have a little experience with these matters. I find the comments from my customers that help make my store a better one are the unflattering ones. While its nice to hear, the comments like "great site" don't help me a bit. Unfortunately, very few are willing to tell you what you're doing wrong (or could be doing better), so you're left in the dark just 'guessing' many times. - Respree |

I have noted your interest in acquiring a 'Dental Floss Tensioner' (commonly known as a 'Flosser') and I am delighted to recommend our De Luxe Gold-Plated model which can also be worn as a fashion accessory. Please see: http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/flosser.jpg |
