Whenever I call up IE, I always get a full width window and the same
when I call up a Favourite. However, if I save a web address as a
short cut (like GA), it only comes up at half full width.
I would prefer full width at all times.
Is this fixable?

Hello there, Probonopublico.
You didn't say which version of IE, nor your operating system.
There is a quickie "trick" which works in one version of IE on one OS,
and the other way involves removing an item from the registry.
Therefore, it would help to know which versions of IE and your OS.
By the way, the 'quickie' way, which may work, is to close the browser
window by holding down Shift and clicking on File > Close, instead of
exiting by clicking on the 'x' in the upper right hand column.
It does not work in all versions of IE or on all OS, but it never
hurts to give that one a try.

Hi, Serenata
Well actually I am running two systems.
A new computer (this one) that I've not yet sussed out has WIN 2000
(Dunno which IE yet) but my other computer where the problem occurs
has WIN 98SE with IE6.
I'll try a shortcut on this and see what happens.
Kindest regards
Bryan

The Quickie Fix did not work on this computer which uses WIN 2000 and IE 5.
I shall now change to IE6, anyway.

Hi, Cynthia
Can't find a down arrow on the Properties Box!
I've now upgraded the new computer to IE6.
But still no joy ...

Hi Probonopublico,
On your Win98SE system, if you saved the shortcut, say on your
desktop, right-click on the shortcut then go to Properties > Run. By
default, it's declared as "Normal window". Use the drop-down arrow
button to change it to "Maximized".

Feilong
