Hi, jaz! Here's a whopper of a list -- or perhaps I should say 'L-I-S-T' ;-) I've tried to eliminate duplicates, and have alphabetized the list (it seems only proper that the names of songs containing spelling should be arranged in alphabetical order!) ==== SONGS WITH SPELLED-OUT WORDS IN THE TITLE OR LYRICS ==== "A-B-C (Easy as 1-2-3), The Jackson Five "A-B-C, 1-2-3" -- Levert, et al. "A-E-I-O-U Sometimes Y" -- EBN/OZN "AFU (Naturally Wired)", Van Halen "ALL GOOD", Mo Thugs Family Scriptures: Chapter II: Family Reunion "ALL TOGETHER NOW", Beatles: Yellow Submarine "Alpha, Beta Gamma Delta" -- Electric Landlady (really) "A-M-Y (That Spells Amy)" (Joel) "Angel", Towa Tei "B-A-B-Y" (Carla Thomas) "Back in the USSR" "BAD", WASP "BEER RUN", Garth Brooks with George Jones: Scarecrow "BFD", Kathy Mattea: The Innocent Years "BIG D", from B'way musical,"Most Happy Fella." We Researchers sometimes get tired of hitting the Internet with our search engines for hours on end; it's nice sometimes to just take a trip inside one's head, and I daresay that's where most of these song titles were found. Thanks for asking an interesting and enjoyable question. Best wishes, pinkfreud |

Hey, I have a GREAT suggestion: Let's wait a while, round 'em up, alphabetize 'em, and let pinkfreud post the list as an answer since she has contributed the most so far. I wouldn't mind and I don't think anyone else would either... Especially since all I have to offer is song titles in Morse Code. hehe... I agree with you Pink but jaz had "Respect" as an example and it's only spelled out in the lyrics, not in the title. Plus are covers included, as we all know the definitive "Respect" singer is Otis Redding. And maybe a separate list for number v. letter songs or should they be scraped entirely? This question has been an absolute riot! Jaz, we await your feedback. ;-) |

Van Halen also released an album entitled OU812, to which Gang Green responded by issuing a release called I81B4U. |
