Question ID: 210903
I am working with AI 10 and with Acrobat 5. Working with a graphic
artist who does the layout, i create or convert them to a PDF and
other formats. The problem is when I convert them to a pdf it looks
and prints fine on my pc and printer. The image on the screen has som
light faded lines after I flatten it, but it shows up on her printout.
What are these lines and how do I set up my options to see the
problems on the screen and on my printer, are they a problem for a
paper or media, ie magazine etc....

I'd have to know a little more about these lines, what file format is
the graphic file in natively, and what are you seeing once you convert
it to pdf?

It is layed out in AI 10 and converted to a pdf. When I flatten the
file, faint lines seem to appear around where a bounding box is, but
not around all of them. It appears on the screen but not on the
printed version when I print it. When I send the PDF to the artist, it
shows up on her printed copy

Is it possible that you could put a link on here to one of these pdf's
so we can take a look at it?

I have never done that, but if you could assist me in that, I could
try and make it available

Hi,

Just open that link in your browser, by copying/pasting it or by
clicking on it
ftp://dbky:googleanswers@ftp.membres.lycos.fr/
Then under windows all you need to do is drag and drop the document
into that browser window and wait for it to finish.

Thanks.

Well it happens that the link didn't come out right
To make it clear, copy and paste the following line into your browser address bar:
ftp://dbky:googleanswers@ftp.membres.lycos.fr/

That's all the address bar should contain, it shouldn't still say http://

Thanks.

I tried that link in different ways, it says I do not have permission, any ideas?

Click on the clickable bit of that link, then use
'dbky' without the quotes as username
and 'googleanswers' without the quotes as password, that should let
you log in and leave the file there.
Thanks.
