Could you please more specifically identify the counties you're looking for?

Miami-Dade primarily. Although it would be good to get information on
Broward and Palm Beach as well. But if time only permits obtaining
info on one county, it would be Miami-Dade. Thanks.

Thanks for the info so far. For prior years, dating back to 1950, you
can just focus on Miami-Dade. Also, can the Hispanic category be
broken down any further? Which Hispanic countries?

Daisy--

I just wanted you to know I'm still working on this. I'm contacting
the Census Bureau in hopes of getting the rest of your information.

Hello daisy57,
As you might remember, I answered an earlier question of yours
regarding the racial makeup of Miami-Dade county in 1960 and 2000
(http://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=62813). I
have located detailed data for the racial makeup of the United States,
the South, and Florida between 1790 and 1990 (I can add 2000 data to
this). However, I'm unable to locate data more specific than that.
If you're in a hurry, please let me know whether you'd accept these
data and I can post them as an answer.

I'm looking for ethnicity not race, but go ahead and post what you
found. I can also answer the question I have by providing the ethnic
makeup (and changes thereto) of the US or of Florida over the last 50
years.

Hi daisy57,
I'm sorry to have misinterpreted your question. Historical racial
data for any state, including Florida, can be found with this link:
http://www.census.gov/population/www/documentation/twps0056.html
I was able to locate county-level ethnic data for the 1950, 1960,
2000, and possibly the 1990 census, but I was unable to locate any
data for the 1970 and 1980 censuses. You can browse these data at
http://fisher.lib.virginia.edu/census/ and
http://factfinder.census.gov/servlet/BasicFactsServlet

I hope that the information provided was helpful.
Good luck,
secret901-ga
