Hello researchers!

A few weeks ago I purchased a combination lock to use at my gym's
lockers. As things would have it, i have forgotten the combination to
the lock.
Here is the information i have on the lock:
Master Lock Co.
There is a serial # on the back it reads: 807530

there is also an "01" on the back of the lock.

So, what i want to know -- what is the combination for my
lock?

An ideal answer will provide me with the corrent combination to open
my lock.
An excellent answer will provide me with a hassle-free, easy method of
obtaining the lock combination.

Thank you!

Hello,

This is something that I'm sure most of us have gone through once or
twice. I myself have gone through at least three locks I can remember
at my old high school. Back in the day though, the janitor was nice
enough to check the sheet making sure it was my locker, and then with
his trusty 3 foot long bolt cutters, turn the lock into splinters of
metal. Now this isn't the case as much. Hopefully you haven't stuck
the lock on your gym locker yet, and it's still in your posession. If
so, you can go to a notary public (accountants, certain banks, pretty
much anybody certified as a notary public meaning trusted official)
after photocopying the back of the lock with a Master Lock Lost
Combination Form (link below) and for a fee they will sign the paper
stating that the lock is in your posession. Once you have the
completed signed form and photocopied back of the lock, you can submit
it to the address listed below and for no charge, Master Lock will
send you the combination.

Master Lock Company

If you're the adventurous type though, a brilliant student at Harvard
has developed a method of cracking Master Lock locks which takes a
little bit of math skills and a lot of time. A step by step directions
list is linked to below, and he offers a handy-dandy online calculator
to help with the math. Just find the "Sticky points" (read the guide)
and he'll help you figure out what your combo is. This may or may not
work with your lock because he doesn't list which serial numbers this
guide works for or if it works with all locks. Good luck lockpicking!

This appears to be a universal human experience, at least in the USA.
Any bonded locksmith should have a book that gives the combination and
the metal key description to open it. I've gone and done it myself a
couple of times.
No biggie. Probably do it for free.

Unless the lock is currently attached to your locker and you have no
access to bolt cutters, toss it and buy a new one for $5.00.
