Greetings, miki85!
Prostaglandin is a hormone naturally manufactured in the body;
sometimes a manufactured version of it is included in some
medications. It is not a condition or a disease, and therefore has no
symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis. On occasion, for certain
reasons, a person may want to suppress the body's production of it;
for instance, it is believed to increase the severity of menstrual
cramps, and intake of ibuprofen (a.k.a. Motrin and Advil), which is an
anti-prostaglandin, is often prescribed as a preventative measure to
help lessen the severity of and alleviate the pain of, menstrual
cramps.
